About
The LYR Online Leauge is a year-long points game that involves challenges that are set for each month (Running from September through to August)
Monthly Leader Board
A ranked list of submissions for that month based on speed. This list can be filtered into subcategories based on age, gender, school and discipline ranked list of submissions for that month based on speed. This list can be filtered into subcategories based on age, gender, school and discipline.
Monthly Challenges
Each month a new challenge is tasked. These are either a set distance or time which can be completed by either Rowing, Running or cycling. Once completed and submitted, the submission is ranked on the monthly challenge leader board by speed. These submissions are also counted towards the points of the Individual and club school they represent.
Individual Leader Board
A calculated ranked points list derived from individual participants submissions throughout the season. An individual can submit multiple entries each month. However, only their first three entries will be counted towards their points. And subsequently their club/school points.
How Points Work
Points are determined by the following formula (entries x (1/ ave split time) + total distance) /100
The different disciplines are weighted to negate speed bias (discipline coefficient x (1/discipline split time) + distance covered)
Each discipline coefficient is as follows; Rowing Machine = 1 Running = 0.8 Cycling = 0.5
This gives an advantage bias to participants who enter more challenges than to those who are faster.
Entries > Distance covered > Speed
For a single months challenge, an individual who is faster will be atop the leaderboard however an individual who enters more will be accumulating greater points throughout the season.
Club/School Leader Board
A calculated ranked points list derived from individual participants who represent said club/school, plus points calculated from team relay submissions.
Club/School points are an accumulation of their individual participant’s points and team relay points.
Club/Schools receive more points based on recurring individual submissions.
Team Relays points are only issued to a club/school and not to an Individual.
Last Months Leader Board
A ranked list of submissions from the previous months challenge based on speed. These rankings are based on the subcategories age, gender, school and discipline.
